If you’re visited The Regina Battery Depot website in the past you know it was, well, a little dated. Yes, we noticed too. With the help of Trusted Marketing Services we were hard at work building a new site and were really close to launching when life threw us all a curve ball. Suddenly the launch of a new website wasn’t a priority. Instead, our focus shifted to working on ways to keep our staff, our customers and our community safe during these changing times.
Our COVID-19 Response and Responsibilities
From the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak we have been closely following guidelines and recommendations set out by the city and the province and we are constantly monitoring them. We briefly closed both the Regina Battery Depot and the Car Care Centre so we could implement safety measures to help keep everyone safe.
The safety measures we have implemented:
- Placing tape on the floor to keep customers distanced to the recommended two metres while in the store.
- The installation of plexiglass at the counters to protect customers and staff.
- Limiting access in the store to only areas that we can ensure physical distancing for customers.
- Limiting the number of customers in the store at one time.
- Frequent cleaning and disinfecting throughout the day.
- Ensuring staff that aren’t feeling well stay home until symptoms pass and/or contact a doctor or the healthline if appropriate.
The safety of our customer and staff are our top priority. If you would like to talk to one our battery experts so they can have what you need ready and minimize your time in the store please call us at (306) 522-2221 or use the chat function on the website. Our team is ready to help. Our Car Care team is also there for you. Just call the Call Care number at (306) 791-9500 to make your appointment today.
Once we had all of our safety measures in place we realized that now more than ever people are in need of access to information from the safety of their homes so we quickly got back to work on the new website. The site is now easier to navigate, has more information and more ways to reach out to us. Our new live chat function connects you directly to one of our battery experts during business hours.
Our commitment to the community also goes beyond what we are doing in the store. CAA Saskatchewan tow truck operators, the Regina Battery Depot and Car Care Centre and WestWorld Tours have teamed up with the Regina Food Bank to help those in need by playing a key role in the safe curbside delivery of food hampers in Regina.
“These unprecedented times are calling for unprecedented actions. A surge in request for services coupled with the demands of social distancing have made it necessary to put in measures for contactless delivery of our food hampers to those in need. CAA has been incredibly responsive to this need and are playing a key role in the delivery of hampers in a safe and responsible way. Access to their roadside assistance tow operators in Regina has been a game changer for our ability to get food to the people who need it.”
John Bailey, Regina Food Bank CEO
We continue to keep up to date on local and provincial recommendations and take any appropriate steps to keep us all safe. We appreciate the support and cooperation our customers have shown us during this time. We are all in this together!
